Description

This is by email from Rishi:

I'm writing to check-in about wrapping up the consulta process. I know Josue
is going to do our final mapping for us, which is amazing (thank you!). I wanted to check-in about what else you all thought was necessary to disable the forms online. I think it would be good if the content of the consulta page was replaced with some text, like "Thank you for participating in the consulta process. The consulta survey is now closed. Your feedback is crucial to the success of the social forum, and is being integrated into the USSF workshop tracks. Look out for the upcoming Registration Form, where you will be able to register for the USSF2010 in Detroit, propose workshops that you and your organization want to do at USSF2010, and also see the new workshop tracks that will have been updated to reflect your feedback!"

The form needs to get closed monday night, or early tuesday morning at the latest. Can someone throw this language up there, and pull the other content down? Once that content has been pulled down, will we still be able to pull results from those pages in the same way we do now?

hey folks,

i think the process should be as follows:

1) http://organize.ussf2010.org/consulta should be repointed to a new page with the above text. the original page (node/57) should be unpublished
2) step two - the feedback page - needs to be made inaccessible too. is that a view? how do we unpublish that?

the data will still be available as it has always been.

additionally, i will take some time in the next couple of days and run thru the process for:
1) creating a map that we can show on the site
2) if it was useful i can create the pages and tags like i did before
3) create a spreadsheet with the totals per state

how does this sound?

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

That sounds like a great plan and it looks like you've already put the re-direct in place.

I found the view (http://organize.ussf2010.org/consulta-feedback). Judging from the edit lock on the view - I think you found it too. I just broke your lock (sorry!) and changed the access so it's only viewable by administrators.

I'm closing out this ticket as done - and will follow up on #218 for the map suggestions.
