Who from Communications has privileges on the site? Or doesn't anyone have that? If not, who should? This is a change the Communications WG should be able to make on its own. If there's no quick solution, I'll make the change but maybe this is a good place for the Working Group to start doing site work. No?

this is scott,

made the change--i would like some help with how the codes, etc. work on the site... seems some of it is html, but then some of it is built in or a automatically formatted?

Hi Scott - thanks for making the change.

You are right about the codes situation.

The initial content started out as plain text.

Then, we added the WYSIWYG editor to try to make things easier for people to format their pages.

The problem happens when a post that started it's life in plain text is edited using the WYSIWYG editor (like the contact us page).

What happens is that the new text gets wrapped in paragraph tags and the old text does not. Both types of text look different.

I just took a stab at re-formatting what you did. Feel free to tweak further if you'd like.

I re-formatted by copying the text, clicking the disable rich text link, deleting everything there, and pasting in just the text. Then, I manually reformatted the text using the WYSIWYG editor.
