  • keywords accessibility access added; accessibility, removed

Everything except the navigation bar is completed on this ticket (see #385).

Unfortunately, we can't add anything new to the navigation bar without either removing something or making the font smaller. And I know there are some strong arguments for adding a Logistics link.

Other easier to implement immediate options include:

I think we could and should take all three of those steps.

Jamie,

The 3 solutions you propose are good. Thank you!

Great - I just added the menu item. Would you mind tackling the  http://www.ussf2010.org/contact and  http://www.ussf2010.org/get-involved pages? I think you're the best person for getting the right language/text around the links.

Hi Jamie,

Yes, I can do that I am sure. But I haven't got an email yet with the admin access info I need. Can you please send/resend?

I got the contact and get involved pages complete. No problems. As for the accessibility page I wish I could say the same. I wanted to put a border around the first paragraph - statement about proprietary software - but my coding doesn't work. My html formatted form doesn't work either.

Can the form be made to work? Or should I link it to another website (the Disability Justice wordpress site) where I can make it work as an accessible form?

Hi Susan - I think for now the access page should be just informational with your email address for people who need accommodations.

Before jumping into a web form, I think it would be good to think through exactly how we want to collect and share this information (as #315 is raising).

I have a form created (you can see it on the access page not as a form). This has all the information we as the Disability Justice Committee need to provide disability access. We may need to contact people for more specific information, if they choose 'other'.

I have contacted Alberto with Language access to see if he wants anything added.

The access@… email comes directly to me. I plan to keep tabs on all the access requests and supply them up until the beginning of USSF or delegate them to specific people for specific instances. At USSF, there will have to be a system created to provide the accommodations requested in the way that makes sense for each accommodation.

Is that what you needed to know????
