please elaborate... what do you mean?

I assume we and AMC are mutual endorsers but this ticket is specific to placing banners on our respective sites. I think this is the only banner tat we ave committed to placing on the ussf2010.org home page. hopefully soon : )

Here is the agreed upon endorsement agreement (below) for placing AMC banner on home page. We cannot figure out how to do this--need access to css/html on home page. I feel that AMC is growing weary...

PROPOSAL: Allied Media Conference and U.S. Social Forum promotional exchange

The Allied Media Conference has been held annually in Detroit since 2007. In this time, the AMC has modeled a new kind of relationship between national conferences and their host cities. 1,000 people attended the 2009 AMC, traveling from as near as Detroit's Cass Corridor, and as far as Melbourne, Australia, with virtual participants skyping in from Atenco, Mexico; Johannesburg, South Africa; and the West Bank, Palestine. The AMC is profoundly shaped by the local community and it, in turn, leaves a lasting impact on Detroit.

At each AMC, hundreds of conference attendees participate in workshops and tours led by long-time community organizers, around the themes of independent media, music, urban agriculture, environmental justice and labor. Participants in these tours have learned about Detroit’s powerful legacy of independent media and its growing reputation as a center for grassroots solutions to the post-industrial urban crisis. The AMC has transformed the way that organizers from around the country view Detroit, helping set the stage for the U.S. Social Forum to root itself in Detroit in 2010.

In considering this proposed promotional exchange, we ask that USSF leadership consider the important organizing role that the AMC has played in Detroit, and will continue to play in Detroit beyond the USSF. The goal of this proposal is to maximize awareness of the USSF amongst AMC participants, and awareness of the AMC amongst USSF participants.

The AMC will:

in promoting the 12th AMC (June 18-20), include the phrase "Come for the AMC. Stay for the U.S. Social Forum: June 22-26, 2010" on all print flyers and on footer of all emails
place a link-button for the USSF on front page of AMC website (150 x 300 pixels), linking to the USSF website
list the USSF dates in our conference schedule and in other relevant online and printed documents
allow the USSF to re-use any AMC-created text or media resources orienting out-of-town guests to Detroit [when using these resources, attribute their creation to the Allied Media Conference]
participate in creating and circulating an article jointly drafted by Adele Nieves, Adrienne Maree Brown, Oya Amakisi and Jenny Lee, describing the relationship between the AMC and USSF and encouraging people to attend both events.

The USSF will

place a link-button for the AMC on front page of USSF website (150 x 300 pixels)
place an ad for AMC2011 in the USSF's printed program booklet
participate in creating and circulating an article jointly drafted by Adele Nieves, Adrienne Maree Brown, Oya Amakisi and Jenny Lee, describing the relationship between the AMC and USSF and encouraging people to attend both events.
