updating additional registrants' contact info

what's the progress on getting a link set up where registered attendees can return to the site to enter the names of their additional registrants?

Also -- I think i found a little glitch in the registration page. I am entering registration for Sociologists Without Borders, and they paid for 7 additional people. For the first 6 people, when I select the budget size and hit continue, it fills in "additional 2, additional 3," etc. When I get to additional 7 and additional 8, it stops filling in that info.

This is scheduled for wrap by the month's end but we should probably get something up on the site telling people that asap. Thanks for bringing this one up.

Hmmm...doesn't sound the "little" to me. Can anyone verify this problem? I don't have current revision-based sites on my machines.

I know this is in the process of being coded, and that it's more complicated than originally thought.

I'm wondering if these changes will also allow organizations who said they would pay later to come back and make an electronic payment? A few groups have asked about that, they registered as pay later but would like to make an electronic payment rather than pay by check. I haven't been sure how find a link where they can process a payment for an organization that is already entered into the database...

Hi Sha - that's a good point and not one that we had considered. I'll pas this on to Joseph and Mark to see what they think and if it could be folded into what they are working or whether we'll need to tackle it after this set of changes.

I don't think there is a way to redo the transaction process once the registration has been completed. We could handle this through a contribution page like the added registrants is being done, and determine the amount owed by doing a look up on the registration record. There might be a relatively simple hook to grab the details. The look up will need to happen with the registering attendee, whether as the logged in user or at least a relationship look up for any other user.

I can look at the feasibility of this as I'm finalizing the adding registrant form.

hey folks,
Mark tells me that the capability for folks to return and pay their pending fee by credit card might be up and running soon... any update on that? I've been ready and waiting to send out a payment reminder to everyone with pending fees for over a month now, and I was asked to wait until this piece was ready.

I'm planning to send this reminder out on Monday -- how likely is it that this will be ready by then?

Hi Joseph - can you weigh in on this one? My impression is that we're pretty close - and since we're planning to work on this on sunday, I think we have a solid shot at having this live by the end of the night sunday.
