Interim Plan for Content Requests for the Website

This page is for developing a plan to field the requests for content related to the website between September and November 2009.

Issues

  1. There are apparently outstanding needs and/or requests that have not been addressed.
  2. People do not know how to post to the site and/or do not have accounts.
  3. There is no protocol for approving content for the homepage.
  4. Many people do not understand the ticket tracking system or how and why to post a ticket.

Proposals

  1. Have a weekly workday (1 hour) for addressing outstanding tickets (suggestion every Sunday from 3pm to 4pm).
  2. Field telephone calls for people who would like to post content but need training (3 hours a week - Ross volunteered for Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 3pm to 4pm).
  3. Give someone responsibility for granting ownership to incoming tickets (Jamie or Mallory might be a good fit for this responsibility as they know the skills of most of the ict participants).
  4. Find out who should approve content and begin developing a plan for that approval (maybe Josue or Alfredo could address this?).
  5. Create a more explicit training document that teaches people how and why to post tickets to the ticket tracker.
