How to Modify the USSF 2010 Homepage

There are now 4 regions on the www.ussf2010.org home page that can be modified by admins and editors.

1. Front Top Left
2. Bottom Left
3. Content Bottom
4. Bottom Right

This tutorial deals specifically with modifying 1. Front Top Left.

If you are an editor or administrator, you will see this navigation block on all pages other than the home page. You can use this navigation block to easily modify the top left block on the home page. Simply click on the link that says Modify Frontpage Block. This will take you to the  reserved front page node screen.

To make modifications, click on Edit tab.

Make the needed changes to the text. Note: A maximum of 450 characters will appear (fewer if you create more than one paragraph), so be careful with the text you add. Make sure to check the home page after you edit.

Make links for the buttons on the home page. Use the Title fields to create the text that will appear on the orange button. This text must be concise to fit in a very limited space, no more than 14 or so characters. Add a url link or an internal drupal link to the url field, see examples:

• url Example  http://www.urlexample.org
• internal drupal link Example internal links look similar to this node/335 the full url would be  http://www.ussf2010.org/node/335, but we only need (or want) the part after 0.org/ the examples below contain only internal links.
