- The ICT will take into consideration the recommendation and concerns of the Detroit anchors about a split hire.
- The ICT will attempt to come to a consensus on the best candidate or candidates and make a recommendation to the NPC for them to make the decision.
Details
- We have a self-selected subcommittee of the ICT that is working on the hiring process. Currently that is Jamie, Alfredo, Sylvia, and Mark.
- The subcommittee believes it is important to share information and communicate this process in a public manner.
- Technology Coordinator application conference calls and communication about particular applicants will be confidential, i.e., detailed discussions about an applicant’s qualifications and other subcommittee member knowledge will not be shared outside of this subcommittee.
- To protect confidentiality, the subcommittee will limit the amount of detail that is shared over email or the wiki.
- In a review of the Technology Coordinator job description, the subcommittee concludes that 50% of the job requires organizing skills and experience, and 50% of the job requires technology skills and experience.
- The subcommittee will review all applications to determine which, if any, meet the criteria.
- The ICT working group will receive a recommendation from this subcommittee of applicants that we wish to follow up with for a phone interview.
- With the ICT WG, the subcommittee will draft a list of interview questions.
- Interviews will be conducted by the subcommittee.
- Alfredo will send an email letter to all applicants who do not receive an interview invitation and indicate that while they were not selected for the Technology Coordinator, we invite him/her to join the ICT WG. Plus, he will share more info about the USSF and encourage other voluntary participation.
- Additionally, the subcommittee will identify which applicants may be suited for other USSF job positions and/or short-term consulting work.
