Spectacular work! Deadline was made.

Insane push to publish site. While deadline was motivating, communication with other working groups could have been better to reduce stress. Good to address process on how deadlines are met.

CiviCRM shows that we've had 3 donations, including Jamie's test. $110 made so far. 1015 opened, 222 click-throughs, 6120 successful delivery under CiviMail reports. (FYI: not loading images in email does not count as an opened message). Looking into how the statistics are generated would be helpful. Could fill in more information on the CiviCRM page for better publicity.

Positive Work on Collaborative Projects

Brainstormed during meeting, listed by Nancy

  • deadline should be agreed upon by all of the committees that are doing the work
  • division of labor should be clear
  • demands of individuals doing work should be non-exploitative
  • positive collaboration within the committees
  • preparation for projects, great foresight, will improve ability to meet deadlines

NPC Meeting Preparation

Next NPC Meeting is July 18 - 22, in Detroit after the Allied Media Conference. People going to Detroit: Sylvia, Nancy, Josue, Mallory, Alfredo

The same weekend is Concert of Colors, an international music concert, which could also provide outreach opportunities.

Strategies during the AMC as outreach/participation:

  • Caucus for USSF - Jenny Lee wants a description
  • meetup - possible local eatery
  • ICT workshop - training session separate from AMC because we did not get a session saved. Should also be used for recruitment to folks in the LOC, etc. Logistically, we still need to schedule place/date/time
  • postcards for the USSF to hand out at the AMC

Regarding the NPC meeting...

  • Drafting the agenda for the meeting is being championed by Adrienne
  • Schedule a possible prep workshop for presentation at (or during) the NPC meeting
  • Can help the meeting go smoothly with tech solutions

What to discuss while in Detroit:

  1. Items that need to be discussed while in Detroit - Mallory will work on training agenda
  2. Agenda items for the NPC meeting - being able to present options for organizing to NPC members when decisions must be made on this level

Further Web Development

Ideas:

  1. Sandbox development site to
    1. train people on how to post content
    2. work load: a possible way around the revision control system for content production (alternative solution is to use Drupal's modules on the name site)
  2. Drupal's workflow
    1. alternative to address work load 1.b.
    2. complicated option
  3. Distributed domains and ideas from NPC and working groups can influence structure - Sylvia has interest in getting a meeting organized with people around how to cull information/feedback from others on the NPC

Strategies and tactics for further web site development (revision control, distributed domains, etc)

  • OpenID for the wiki
  • calendar extension on the wiki
  • use of google news codes for content paths (example 'news/00[nid]-[title-raw]')
