In March, 2009, a representative group of US Social Forum Organizers collaborated to create a list of technology principles. This document was intended to lead the Information, Communications, and Technology working group of the US Social Forum in making political and organizational decisions about the development, implementation, and use of the technology that will support the USSF in Detroit 2009 and beyond. Although agreed to be passed as tentative principles, items towards the bottom of the list did not necessarily garner consensus, ICT organizers fully intend to honor these principles as technology is created. Much of the developed technology will then have a documented privacy and use policy which strive to be reflective of these technology principles. Such policy documents are below:
