USSF Editor Logins
This page is for USSF web site editors and database maintainers - individuals who have a logins on either the main site ( http://www.ussf2010.org) or the database/civicrm site ( https://community.ussf2010.org/).
Short answer:
- To login to www.ussf2010.org or community.ussf2010.org, click on the login link in the footer of the page, not the "Sign into my Account" link in the header.
- Your passwords on both sites will always stay in sync. In other words, if you change your password on the organize.ussf2010.org, if you have an account on the community.ussf2010.org site with the same email address, it will be synchronized (and vice versa)
Explanation:
We now have three different web sites that all have a very similar look and feel:
- www.ussf2010.org: this is the plain, brochure-like site
- community.ussf2010.org: this is the site dedicated to registration and donations only
- organize.ussf2010.org: this is the site for workshop proposals and for all USSF participants to login and do organizing
Our goal is for regular users to not notice the difference when moving between the three web sites
We're keeping these sites separate because we want to insulate the plain brochure site and the registration/donation site from the organize site to ensure that they always load quickly and remain secure.
To help reduce confusion among regular USSF participants, we've added a link to the header of all three sites called "Sign in to My Account." This link is aimed at the regular USSF participants and always directs you to the login on organize.ussf2010.org (which is the site that 99% of participants will want to login - to submit propsals, etc).
However, USSF organizers with edit privileges on either www.ussf2010.org or community.ussf2010.org need to login to these respective sites in order to make changes.
Therefore, we've add a far less prominent login link to the footer of each site. This login link will log you into the site you are currently on.
